Photography is a special passion for us both.

For Mim, it's a connection with childhood. Her grandmother and mother are both photographers, and some of her earliest memories are watching images appear, like magic, under the red glow of their dark room at home. For Mark, it's a more recent love, just two or three years old. His first tentative steps into photography began as we left Australia, rapidly growing more confident as we travelled for a year with our cameras out every day.

There's just something utterly magical about being able to freeze our travels in time forever through a lens. The smiling faces of people in markets, an epic mountain landscape we've just trekked through, the hilarious travel mishaps that would otherwise fade from memory with time.

Today, we're fortunate to have reached a point where our passion is also part of our job, which is why we've put together this collection of photography gear guides, tips and hacks, and photo journals to guide you to better photography and inspire you to get out there and shoot more often.

"My life is shaped by the urgent need to wander and observe, and my camera is my passport."
